1. SESBANIA AS A FOREST:

Sesbania is a lush green, perennial legume and fast-growing plant. Locally known as Manjhandri. This shrub is leguminous and in Pakistan, mostly found in the Sindh area. Its growth rate is 3-4 feet within a month. Within a year, it may grow 15-20 feet long. Humid and hot tropical areas are best to cultivate this plant that’s why it is suitable for rapid forestry. Sesbania likes to be cultivated in wet and moist environment areas of Pakistan for forest cultivation.

Plantation Process:

Its plantation is followed by scarification (pre-treatment) and germination. The seed is used to sow through a direct drilling mechanism. Vegetative propagation is also used in rainy seasons. 2. MORINGA AS A FOREST:

A sub-tropical area plant, which grows faster and becomes a tree for life, is Moringa. Its other common names are drumstick tree, the ben oil tree, the horseradish tree, or a miracle tree. It is just like a goldmine in backyards. It can be found in Asia, South America, and Africa, however, it is native to India.

Plantation Process:

Moringa is a drought-resistant plant with a fast-growing tendency. A sunny spot is required for the plantation. Add some manure to the planting hole and then place the seed directly or a seedling in this hole.

The best process is to keep some moist soil mixture and 2 to 3 seeds in a polybag. The germination process takes place within 5 to 15  days after planting seeds. When seedlings will grow at least 60 m high, then out-plant them in slightly acidic soil.

The plantation is started by using plant cuttings (cuttings to sow should be 1.5 m in height). Place one-third of the cutting into soil, if planting these cuttings directly.

The Moringa plant is capable to grow up to 18 feet within six months. It is feasible to cultivate this plant in extreme arid states.

Iple Iple is a fast-growing, small mimosoid plant that is native to Central America and southern Mexico. At higher altitudes, the plant shows a very slow growth rate. It is a well-known drought-resistant plant so, also widely cultivated in tropical areas.

Pakistan has the best climate during spring-summer for this plant. This tree loves to live in humid, moist areas that’s why Iple Iple also known as river tamarind. Other common names are leguminous tree, tan tan, white popinac, jumbay, and white lead tree.

A soft, fast germination seed is best to plant in fertile soil. Take a soft, soaked seed and plant it into the soil. Alkaline, fertile, and moist deep clay soil plays a vital role in the rapid growth of Iple Iple.
